The Book of Ruth is a beautiful biblical story that starts with tremendous loss and ends with tremendous hope. It illustrates how God’s Providence is not always as obvious as the parting of the Red Sea or the transformation of water to wine. The Book of Ruth reminds us that even when His action in human events is subtle, God is still working through us, still present with us, and still active in us.

Bible Study: The Book of Ruth

Cornerstone of Hope is excited to offer a new six-week Bible study focusing on the Book of Ruth. In this Bible study, we will walk with grievers through this incredibly profound story. We will humbly approach the Word of God, seeking to become more aware of His love so that we may grow in faith and experience the consolation of Him, Whom is the Source of our being, our peace, and our hope.

Friday Evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
1/24, 1/31/, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28

Light refreshments are available. No prior familiarity with the Book of Ruth is necessary. No materials are needed except a writing utensil. Study guides will be provided and will include the text of the bible passages, but attendees are welcome and encouraged to bring their own bibles.

This Bible Study will explore complex themes that may be challenging and emotionally intense for those who are newer on their grief journey. The Book of Ruth Bible Study will be offered again, so this will not be the only opportunity to sign up for this program. If you have any questions, please contact Anna Dean at adean@cornerstoneofhope.org.

Registration Fee: $20

Cornerstone of Hope Book Club

Cornerstone of Hope invites you to take part in our new book club. We will be discussing C.S. Lewis’s The Problem of Pain. All are welcome, whether you’re a lifelong Christian, a new believer, questioning or struggling with your faith, or just curious to learn more.

Amazon describes the book with the following words:
“In The Problem of Pain, C.S. Lewis, one of the most renowned Christian authors and thinkers, examines a universally applicable question within the human condition: “If God is good and all-powerful, why does he allow his creatures to suffer pain?” With his signature wealth of compassion and insight, C.S. Lewis offers answers to these crucial questions and shares his hope and wisdom to help heal a world hungering for a true understanding of human nature.”

Friday Evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
11/1/24, 12/6/24, 1/10/25, 2/7/25, 3/7/25, 4/4/25
