Join Cornerstone of Hope as we present An Evening with Dr. Kenneth Doka, one of the country’s leading grief experts.
Dr. Doka will present the complex reactions that can occur when a loved one dies of traumatic losses such as suicide, homicide, or drug overdoses. His presentation reviews the grief that individuals experience when such losses occur — differentiating these likely complicated grief reactions from more typical grief reactions. Additionally, the presentation will review self-help strategies, identify resources, and offer counsel on when more professional assistance would be helpful.
Dr. Doka is a Professor Emeritus at the Graduate School of The College of New Rochelle and Senior Vice-President for the Hospice Foundation of America. A prolific author, Dr. Doka has authored or edited over 40 books and 100 articles and book chapters. Dr. Doka is editor of Omega: The Journal of Death and Dying and Journeys: A Newsletter to Help in Bereavement.
